Buttercrunch!
Ingredients:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 bag (2 cups) chocolate chips
Procedure:
- Melt butter and sugar together.
- Add corn syrup and water and heat over medium heat. Use a candy thermometer to monitor temperature.
- When the candy reaches 240°F, watch carefully until it reaches 290°F.
- Quickly pour onto a cookie sheet to cool
- Melt one half of the bag of chocolate chips and pour onto the cooled candy. Spread evenly. Cool in
refridgerator until hardened.
- Remove the chocolate-covered candy from the fridge and flip
- Melt the other half of the chocolate and spread on the uncoated side of the candy.
- Chill until hardened and smash into pieces!
